Enter Dragon

So, we are back!

And first, apologies for the radio silence. Our team took a few months off to work on unrelated projects, but now we are back on the case. In the next few weeks, we have to take care of the backend and fix some nasty bugs (but no worries, they do not affect the app’s core functionalities).

After that, we will start working on new features; there are plenty of exciting ideas floating on our desk 😉

But the main reason for this post is the upcoming Wood Dragon year, which starts on 4. February.

It seems that Dragon Year always excites people a bit more than other signs, and it’s known that in China, people tend to plan pregnancies to deliver on Dragon Year because they find it more auspicious. Of course, it’s not that simple; other pillars, besides year, are also important, but that is another story.

This Dragon Year is specifically Wood Dragon because it has Yang Wood on top. This image is powerful because it represents a sturdy tree on top of a solid, moist Earth (the Dragon has Yin Water within). This Yang Wood is strong, healthy, and stable, so it will be very auspicious if you need this Element in your chart.

The Yang Wood will have the most notable interactions with these Master Elements:

Yang Metal

Yang Wood represents wealth to Yang Metal, so if the Master Element is strong enough, this could represent an opportunity for financial success.

Yang Earth

Yang Wood represents the Power Component of the Yang Earth Master Element; it tends to control it, which can result in legal problems or general issues with authorities. A strong Power Component can also cause mental issues like depression and anxiety. Yang Wood might generally make Yang Earth’s life path more difficult in 2024.

Yin Earth

Yang Wood naturally combines with Yin Earth, and as a result, it produces more Earth. This is generally very auspicious for the Yin Earth Master Element. Yang Wood represents authority and Power Component, which means that Yin Earth people will have easier access to authorities, and they could climb corporate ladders more easily. This is also very auspicious for Yin Earth ladies; Yang Wood is your perfect husband material.

When it comes to the Dragon branch, here are the most notable interactions with other branches:

Monkey

Dragon naturally combines with Monkey, activating the Water structure, so it can be very auspicious if that is an Element you need. If you already have too much Water, it might be inauspicious.

Rat

Dragon naturally combines with Rat, activating the Water structure, so it can be very auspicious if that is an Element you need. If you already have too much Water, it might be inauspicious.

Rooster

Dragon naturally combines with Rooster (so-called Liu He combo), activating Metal structure, so it can be very auspicious if that is an Element you need. If you already have too much Metal, it might be inauspicious. This combination will also seal Water Element, making it inaccessible, and that can cause troubles in specific charts.

Dog

Dragon and Dogs are in a direct clash. Yin Water within the Dragon tries to control and damage Yin Fire within the Dog, while Yin Metal within the Dog tries to control and damage Yin Wood within the Dragon. This clash generally brings a lot of instability because it involves all five Elements.

Rabbit

Rabbit vs. Dragon is the so-called Mutual Harm. Yin Wood within Rabbit wants to control Yang Earth within Dragon, but the overall dynamic will depend on the general chart structure.
