DIPLOMAT TALENT

(Also known as Direct Officer BaZi Profile)

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

Diplomat Talent belongs to POWER Character Component, together with Warrior, its counterpart.

People with healthy and balanced Diplomat Talent in their charts are usually very righteous and put a big emphasis on morality and peace. From all the Talents, Diplomat is the most law-abiding, they find it quite hard to go against the rules.

They don’t seek attention and don’t like to stand out; they prefer to blend with the crowd, nameless. A too much spotlight makes Diplomats nervous.

They are pretty much the opposite of Performer Talent, which is all about seeking attention.

For Diplomats is very important what other people think, and puts a lot of emphasis on keeping things calm and balanced. They often ignore their own need to bring peace to their surroundings.

When balanced, Diplomats will be gentle and peaceful with other people, always working on projecting calming vibes.

They are good friends and great group leaders.

Being polite is their primary drive, and rarely you will see them acting unpleasant or showing negative emotions. They will always try to stay positive, no matter of the situation and how hard it gets.

Because they spend a lot of time and energy pleasing other people and their emotions, they often need a break from everything and time for themselves, away from people so that they can recover lost energy.

Staying at home, in a peaceful environment is one of their first choices when it comes to enjoyment. The busy, hectic life would never be their choice for fun and entertainment unless they get dragged into it.

When Diplomat Talent is excessive and unchallenged, they might react too submissive, ignoring their own needs completely, afraid to speak up. From outside it might look like they don’t have a backbone.

In a time of conflict, they will keep a low profile due to their weak self-esteem and any last minute changes will represent an unpleasant challenge to them.

CHARACTER TRAITS AND PROFESSIONS

Below are few key character traits and professions which are related to the Diplomat Talent, accompanied with real-life examples from famous people so that you can get a better idea of its unique characteristics.

THE GOOD GUYS OF POLITICS

We had a problem to find enough famous people for our case study of Diplomat Talent. The reason for this is that real Diplomat people avoid the spotlight and sticking out, so most people we found had a combination of a few other Talents.

Bill Clinton, for example, has a combination of Diplomat and Performer, which is a contradiction. In this case, it meant that he could speak, and present, he enjoys publicity, but he is also very diplomatic, gentle, able to connect with ordinary people.

Barack Obama, although primarily a Warrior, has the right amount of Diplomat in his chart, giving him also a healthy dose of diplomacy and pleasantness.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has a combination of several active Talents, Diplomat, Analyzer, Pioneer, and Artist, and that’s why he was able to become successful in so many different areas, from bodybuilding, movies, and diplomacy, which is his most prominent Talent.

In most cases, Diplomat acts as secondary Talent, making people more pleasant, but rarely you can become a famous persona just on that Talent alone.

Talents like Performer, Pioneer or Warrior can be very pushy, Diplomats are pretty much the opposite of that, so it’s harder for them to come at the top, unless there is help from other talents, like in those cases we mentioned above.

SELF DENIAL

Self-denial is the primary issue when it comes to excessive and out of control Diplomat Talent. It represents a submissive behavior, especially at work, where they fear authority. For women, this also represents fear and submission towards the husband.

When a person is in a submissive state, they deny all their needs, are unable to speak up or to protect themselves or others. Any changes in the work environment frighten them, therefore often they are unable to hold their job position for very long, or they get ill from the stress.
